Tonsils under maintenance

Life is terribly boring.

Especially so when you are under quarantine.

My mum absolutely loves these times when she can quarantine me at home over some illness - a excellent period for her to dump a host of excruciatingly repetitive tasks on me. It makes marvellous sense to her since I seem to have inherited my dad's perfectionism when it comes to cleaning.
Hence, I have become completely domesticated in the past week. I spent the whole day polishing silverware. It's a very icky job, but completely gratifying when you see the shine and bling at the end of the dark and dirty tunnel. I have been doing the dishes everyday, and have already completely cleaned the kitchen, even those silly magnets on the refrigerator. I have also cleared out my wardrobe, which is a humongous feat. And over the weekend, quoting my mum, I have to "wipe all the mirrors and glassy surfaces around the house, till they bounce off light like never before".

I want to kill my tonsils.

Besides that, I have also become this freaky facebook application junkie. Yes, the exact ones I used to tease before. I have taken a liking to those retarded quizzes that inform me my brain is best at analytical stuff and behold, that I am most suited for Engineering and Applied sciences. And I had this vocabulary application informing me that my vocabulary, on average, is as developed as that of a wrestler's. The worst part is that I would probably have to agree with that.

For example:

The word jumble given: "YNSOXE"

The words that I type, among other more valid ones: "sox", "noe", "sony", "yox", "sexyon", "onsexy"

Half the time, I would be typing names and places. Other times, I would be typing German or anglicized Indian words. Pathetic. Oh well, fun game anyway. For the record, I haven't given up on that application. I still play it quite religiously. One day, I will progress to a more decent position. I can feel it. Just watch.
